Default CR-902 radio casette fault

My battery went flat, took it off the car and recharged it overnight, however i tried to input the code but found i put in two digits wrong way round.
Now I find that when I switch on the radio instead of the word 'CODE' I get the word 'OFF'. Any ideas anyone?

Just found this on another site........

Switch on the ignition until the 'Off' is displayed, leave the radio on for 2 hours, after that period the word 'CODE' should be displayed, then enter the code.
