Default advice needed

Just pulled the trigger on a 2016 220bhp xc70 to replace my 2010 205bhp, must be bloody mad given the price but plan to keep for many years. Few bits I wish to do but thoughts wanted.

1st boot closing module, anyone fitted one in the UK and if so do you have a link. Found two 1st at around £47 and the other around £85 on fleebay but looking for recommendations.

2nd Boot spoiler which I can get in my color for £409. Question is has anyone got one fitted and if so are there any issues I need to be aware of other than a few quid on the insurance. Seen them on a few I do think they finish the rear end off and look good but not a must have esp if it gives issues.

3rd Anything I need to know re the 220 compared with the older versions apart from it not having a 12v socket in the boot grrrr.

Thanks in advance.

I added a boot spoiler to mine - simple job. They generally come in grey, so will need spraying. You need to drill through the boot lid "wings" for the retaining bolts - just make sure you get the holes in the right place. The boot lid is plastic, so no worries about corrosion. The official VIDA guide is good. I'll try and attach it here.

The boot lid hydraulic rams on mine worked fine with the spoiler added (it's the same parts with or without spoiler), but it has gradually lost the ability to hold the tailgate open properly and I have now got fed up of banging my head and have replaced them both and all is great again. Sounds like yours is the electric boot opener, though. That has just the one ram on one side I think, but you'll need other people's guidance on that.
