MR300: my baby's re-build
Hey all thought I'd do a build thread on my 360.
backstory. Brought the old girl off my granddad years ago. he's been 3 of the 6 registered owners. so its got a bit of family history. i used to be a pizza boy and in the space of 6 months put 40000km approx 18000 miles on her so she got very worn. steering brackets snapped bolts. Ate engine mounts. developed a few leaks in the body. labour of love I've now had 5 360's. my current daily is gonna be the 4th parts car for her. in that time she has had 4 new $44 spark plugs new boot due to rear window shattering due to massive bass from her competition grade sound system including play station Engine mounts i believe 6 now. have retrofitted from a 89 model power mirrors heated seats Also as alarm installed by me under guidance of my boss. So she was a basic old girl with a sunroof. now has an oversize glt grill pretty low in front has coilover adjustable stiffness shocks in rear have duckbill and arch flares on order. (My 21st present to me) gettin some 2" blocks got a sound system waiting for it. getting rust done soon. pictures to come as progress goes MR300 as he sits http://s1248.photobucket.com/albums/...ent=IMG012.jpg My 87 aka donor car number 4 http://s1248.photobucket.com/albums/...ent=IMG013.jpg What my place looked like up to two months ago. skyline was parked in front of house top left http://s1248.photobucket.com/albums/...ent=IMG144.jpg The other monstrosity I'm getting reliable http://s1248.photobucket.com/albums/...ent=IMG149.jpg black in black on black 850R. one of the rarer of the R spec due to the black interior and dark wood. more photo's http://s1248.photobucket.com/albums/...ent=IMG016.jpg http://s1248.photobucket.com/albums/...ent=IMG015.jpg Last edited by Logan360; Sep 30th, 2012 at 06:25. |

Can't wait till i can start building her after my mates done the rust. start from the front back. go to manual mirrors again as electronic's broken, change seats, re do tail light earth's and fully re do sound system. full re wire. get some half way decent 4 inch speakers as i have my two front door pods and 4 extra rectangle ones. rear pillar and front kick panel fitment. 6 speakers, two amp's, two subs, dvd unit and if i get bored might put the old PS1 in again.

Got a little bored over the weekend so i decided to put the duckbill on
http://s1248.photobucket.com/albums/...ent=IMG019.jpg then my mate said he was selling some 16's so i got a test wheel. 16x7jj ET40 so a little too close to strut tower. my friend is an engineer so 3 mm spacers are incredibly cheap (free) http://s1248.photobucket.com/albums/...ent=IMG022.jpg My big subs that have to go in http://s1248.photobucket.com/albums/...=235560179.jpg so in the space of about an hour the old girl went from left, to right. http://s1248.photobucket.com/albums/...ent=IMG024.jpg Last edited by Logan360; Oct 22nd, 2012 at 09:26. |

Maybe a new age 4 turbo would be nice but too electronic. might do a 230 conversion at some point just to join the bandwagon. am looking at buying a sleeper 850 soon so will see what happens.
