blank switch coloured
anybody have an early 240 coloured switch without the writing on?

They didn't come blank; best thing you can do is rub the text off - I use a baby wipe and a bit of elbow grease and it works good!!
If you can't find a colored one I have a few black ones in poor condition I might be able to sacrifice. What do you want to operate with the switch? Also, I have a couple of early style seat belt warning lights with the text instead of the icon which you might be interested in? |

hi again!!
i want the switch to work my heated mirrors, im slowly changing the switches to the old coloured style which i prefer, i would like to also get the switches that say, drivers/passengers heated seats too, i have seen plain yellow switch but it may have had the writing rubbed off as you say. thanks |

The ink isn't very durable - a quick rub with some white spirit takes it right off.
What I'd REALLY like to find, though, is a way to get the switches re-printed with symbols of my choice. I haven't found a way yet, though. |

All you need is a printer that'll print a small icon onto clear adhesive vinyl.

There was a plain purple switch available too . Used in the Auxilary driving lamp kit ..
Never seen the Pass Heated switch in UK before . The heated seats were always on with thermostatic switch in the seat from 200 introduction in 1974 until 1981 when the switches changed a little to have rounded corners ,then they added black switches with an orange illuminated seat symbol instead of words by the handbrake in the rear edge of the console ..

Yeah just to confirm there was a plain purple switch available. my car had two of them in and i foolishly gave them away. managed to pick up another at a bkv though but i want to keep it for my own use.

Clan and steve have beat me to saying about the purple switches, I have 2, but want to keep them for spot lights, my dad had one for each light!
