Hai All!
First time poster, wooo! I'm currently working on my 2004 XC70 SE 2.5T (manual, petrol), it's bit of a rolling project and needs a fair bit of work but I'm enjoying it so far. The end goal is to beef it up, and make it a little more suited to handling less well kept routes. Before I get to all the bits I want to do, I'm trying to get the engine bay sorted out. The newest fault to reveal itself is a really bad oil leak coming from the intercooler. Changing that seems to be a pretty simple task and I've got a new one on order arriving in the week. A few people more knowledgeable than me have suggested that its more than likely also the 'turbo seals' as the leakage is pretty bad. If it is the turbo seals, is that as simple as removing the turbo and/or connecting tubing, de-gunking the old seals, and then replacing them? Or would I be looking at a bigger job? Any and all info would be lush. Ta! Shen ![]() Last edited by Shenanigans; Sep 6th, 2021 at 18:41. |
