Hi all,
I am about to go and look at the following: Volvo V50 2.0D Sport 5dr Diesel Sportswagon 2009 with the R Body Styling pack Its done 50000 miles and they are after £9999 advertised as excellent condition Firstly, anything I should be looking for? Also what price do you reckon? It has full Volvo service history and has just had Flywheel and cylinder changed. Many thanks in advance |

worth paying a few pounds to get the history checked in case of accidents if buying private etc, also even if buying of a dealer take a forum member or friend for a second opinion.
old rule applies buy in a hurry and you will have plenty of time to regret it. ![]() |

Pay particular attention to the inside edge of the front tyres. 50,000 mls is about it as far as suspension bushes are concerned and tyres that are badly worn on the inside edge will give you a good indication if they are goosed or not, as will wheel wobble between 50 and 70mph.
Depending on mileage and usage consider if the car is fitted with a dpf, as short journeys will give problems when the car tries to regenerate. Edit; and as said, check air con as the condensors are a known problem on the later facelift cars. Last edited by rowdy; Jul 18th, 2012 at 16:39. |
