Regarding your calipers,
If I've ever had a set of pads in "too" long I always push them back in situ and then pump the pedal back up, I do this 3 times before changing them to get the piston to bore cleaned up and obviously check the dust seals, If the disc's had looked ok the best way to straighten them up is the 70 mph brake test, ensure the road is clear at the time, do that a few times and the heat normally allows the warp to come out, Rear pads with an EPB it's essential to copper/brake grease the caliper where the pad locators sit in and also a little smear across the pins, it all helps negate that garump sound a dirty caliper makes when moving off with the epb still engaged, Glad you're making progress. |

Well
. Its certainly cured the symptom. I had a good route around under the vehicle and I saw no evidence of deaminated bushings et.
With the bolt torques it took a lot longer than expected by some margin so I will need to get back under and check all parts. I will continue to monitor rear brake surface too. |
