You got money burning in yer pockets? Give it me instead and you can have my panel filter thats just been cleaned. It would be money better spent than a daft induction kit.. or buy a T4 ofc

Its best to go with just a panel filter that is washable, will save you cash in the long run as its reusable, no real performance gain with it.

Would an induction kit really benefit performance on a NA 1.8? I doubt it. Someone can correct me on that if I am wrong.
Personally I would fit a K&N panel filter as it gives off a nice throaty thrum along with the alleged performance claims. I would say if anything it makes the car more responsive, not necessarily quicker through the gears. TBH though if you are seeking performance, buy a 2.0T/T4/163hp/197hp. Both will get a grin when the mood takes you while returning decent fuel figures.

My mums last car was a 98 T4, rapid through the gears but it looked like any other estate car, zero hints on the performance - minus the badge itself lol. I would be chuffed to bits with either a 2.0T or T4. Hoping to change my car early next year as well.

So distinctive that my friend (mechanic) revved the engine and asked me if I had a K&N filter. Will give you a nicer noise and will only cost you 30 odd quid.

I just removed the restrictive snorkel on the airbox on the Yaris, extra throttle reponse and it also gives that induction noise even with a standard paper filter lol the filter isn't usually the restrictive part.
