Isn’t that crazy when you think about it?

Lets say a 2012 V70 vs 2012 Skoda Superb… the Skoda is only marginally longer, but not as wide as the V70. Yet despite the minute difference in length (15mm or so), the Skoda manages to gain so much rear leg room & the boot is huge too.

There’s more room in the rear of a Skoda Superb than a standard length S Class Mercedes, yet the Mercedes is a much bigger car. You’d need a limo body S Class to compete with the Superb’s leg room.

slightly OT, but borrowed daughters '13 Zafira to go to IKEA, as I couldn't get the headrest (with DVD) out to fold seat right down, and whist I was stuck in a que at Blackwall tunnel, I was tapping the outside of the door with my fingers. Don't know why, the radio wasn't even on, but it ws like tapping an empty can. Similar thing with the Volvo, is like tapping concrete. Wonder what a Skoda sounds like .

The Skoda probably won't feel as solid as the V70 but that's pretty irrelevant as it will be just as safe in a crash.

I’ve sat in a Superb, but haven’t had a drive in one. It was very well appointed inside, but doors didn’t feel as solid admittedly.

I guess a drive would reveal more, but the interior space is fantastic.

The V6 one which they have now dropped was a lovely car. I think they tested it on one of the car shows and beat some pretty impressive competition

Might be statistically as safe if you crash them both into a concrete block at 30 mph, but crash them head on, I know which one I think I would rather be in... based if only on the extra 200Kg or so.

Based on the crash between the Renault Modus and the 940 I wouldn't be so sure
