I think the biggest problem you would face fitting the B234F engine in your 1986 GLT with B230E is that the B234F has a LH electronic injection whereas the B230E will have the mechanic K-jet. This means that you will need to rebuild the whole electrical system. The ECU will not work, you will need to buy a complete engine will all the accessory bits. It can certainly be done but it would be easier to buy a 740 16v.

Yes i saw mike's(ravennexus) 242 at the weekend and im almost positive it had the dizzy at the back of the head against the bulkhead,not sure if the bulkhead was modified for this you would have to ask him,

Sorry dave for not getting back to you when you offered me advice on the engine build project ad turbo conversion options, ive been dead busy.was your website out of order or was it just my crappy computer again!!

Hi peter,
sorry for dragging this up but you mentioned that 90 model 240 Glt's had the B234 is that correct.or is it the 740s.
Reason i ask is a guy contacted me about a 240 he was selling but he mentioned he has a 90 GLT 244 for sale in june, if its got the B234 i think ill take his arm off at the shoulder!!
