Took delivery of my wife's XC90 yesterday. D5 SE 185 on a '06. One owner, beautifully looked after, full Volvo SH with 90k on the clock. The leather is pristine & the carpets are immaculate. Private sale for the bargain price £8.2k.
I'm utterly blown away with the drive & feel of the car. I'd test driven a 163bhp version a few weeks before & the difference with the 185 is quite surprising.

The hi-fi is fantastic. Sitting in the those amazing seats with the world shut out is quite something. I can see the wife having a fight to get the keys out of my hand !!

One query, my 7 year old lad has claimed the 3rd row seats for himself (leaving his 2 sisters in the middle). He's just under legal limit of 135cm & hence requires a booster. However, are the 3rd row seats mainly aimed at kids & will he still require a booster when using them...?

Many thanks for any feedback.

Can't answer your question mate, but welcome to the club! Loads of very knowledgeable & helpful people on here.

Sounds like you've got a very decent deal, hope you (or the wife !) enjoy.

Welcome to the club.

3rd row can be used by anyone providing they can fit in. If you put little ones in there not a problem other than can be awkward if you are the one doing the belts up.

If he is below legal height bottom line is yes must have booster until over that height regardless of where seated.

Welcome on board!

Whenever my 7 year old or any of his friends uses the 3rd row I always use a booster seat - personal choice I guess however.

Many thanks! Finally had chance to try the car in anger with the kids.
My 7 yr old lad is very comfortable in the back row on his booster.
Thanks for the feedback!

I'm still blown away with the comfort & quality of the ride, it's fantastic!
