Default Part Codes

Maybe a more random one, but I need what I would call an oil filler cap for my V70, you know the black cover you unscrew to fill the engine with oil. I have no idea if they used different sized caps across the engine range. My engine is a B5252s 10v. Does anyone know what the part/product code is for this one? I need to order a new one as the seal is starting to go.

Also, I need a new thermostat. Likewise, does anyone know the product/part number is for this?

Thanks

you don't need a cap , volvo sell a new seal ring for little money ...
they also sell a new thermostat of the correct temperature .

Do you mean a 710 cap? (old joke......)

Seconded wot Clan said, mine was leaking, got a new seal from Volvo for about £2.50 IIRC, likewise a thermostat isn't expensive and with the VIN code or registration number they'll ensure you have the right one.

Funny joke Gents. thanks for the advice. I didn't know Volvo did the individual seal, so I will get onto them for that. Thanks
