Default 244dl steering

Hi Folks,

1st post here, so go easy on me!
Anyhow, can anyone tell me what version of inner tie rod would be fitted to a 1977 244DL. This car is one of the anniversary models, and is manual steering, as opposed to PAS.

Also, a saggy rear end - is this usually down to tired springs? This car has a towbar fitted, and may have done a lot of towing work in the past.

Many Thanks

I think Volvo did a number of systems and changes over the years.

But if you're butt is hangin low, the springs are definately saggy. When I changed mine, I gained an extra 3" height and could actually see something other than the road behind me out of the rear view mirror. Either get standard springs for a comfy ride, or if you're going to carry anything, get heavy duty cargo springs. Very easy to fit, as long as you clamp the spring base plate down to keep it from spinning when tightening the bolt. I think mine were around £20 each. I know you can also get rubber space blocks, but these cost about the same and don't really fix the problem.
