P1800 servicing etc (Harrogate Area)

I am currently looking for a P1800 (either coupe or ES) and am trying to think ahead to where I am going to get the thing serviced etc. assuming I finally find a good one.

Are there any owners in the Harrogate area that could let me know where they go for servicing, bodywork or anything else that I might need. I don't think I would be able to do anything much myself short of checking the oil? For example would The local Volvo dealer (Mills) do anything or would I need to go to a specialist and if so are there any locally? The only ones I have found out about so far seem to be at the other end of the country.

Any other tips you could pass on to a potential owner would be extremely welcome. I have bought "Volvo 1800: The Complete Story" and read that from cover to cover and seen a number of web sites with plenty of information about buying them and where to look for rust etc. Though as I haven't actually looked at any that are for sale in the flesh yet, I am not exactly sure where to look for blocked drain holes and all of the specifics that are mentioned.

I have a couple of good guys who service Volvo's both old & new. One is in Harrogate near the Woodlands Pub (Chris Davidson) on 01423 886226. The other is in Leeds in Meanwood. Let me know if you need any further help & if you would like to get involved with the York & District section - we are always looking for new members.
