Some info from Volvo about CarPlay -

Apple CarPlay now launched
Updated 12/07/2022
The latest software update will enable Apple CarPlay for all cars.
With Apple CarPlay being rolled out to all models, iPhone users can feel completely at home in our Volvo cars. CarPlay gives you the ability to safely use what you love about your iPhone while you drive. Also – as a temporary user of the car, you are able to get access to relevant services without logging in to embedded applications.
Please note that Apple CarPlay can be enabled by connecting your iPhone via a USB port.
Key differences compared to the previous infotainment system (Sensus):
You cannot answer phone calls via the steering wheel. It can be done via the centre display or the phone.
If navigation is started via CarPlay, the native map will not be available in the driver display. Navigation from CarPlay can only be viewed in the center display and not the driver display.
Media information from CarPlay cannot be viewed in the CarPlay tile in the center display.
There is no hotword detection for Siri. Siri can be triggered by long press on the voice recognition button on the steering wheel.
Please note more features will be enabled with upcoming software updates.

I have an XC60 T6.
I didn't get chance to upgrade to V2.1 before it disappeared off my system so I'm still back at V2.0
I haven't been offered V2.2 at any point despite looking pretty regularly.
Do you think its a case of keeping on waiting or do I need a trip to the stealers?
