Default V70 puddle light mods.

Ok, so no doubts been asked several times, but not been able to find a response: Mirror puddle lights. seems a waste of time to have them on circuit for the "see my car" job, so does anyone know of a fix to link to the door opening, so you can actually see "puddles" before you step in them, LOL.

I agree, would have been fun to have them on upon unlocking the car. May sound stupid but how about wiring directly inside the fob the yellow 'puddle' button to the door opening button ? Not done this but sounds interesting. My car btw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBlKNkmK2xg

Volvotech CFE (Canbus Function Extender) enables this function for you

No. Microsoft Windows. And then you program the CFE to do what you want and stick it in the ODBII port.

It's a small box you can put into your OBDII port under your light switch. You get a Windows programm and an adapter for the box to programm it with USB.

In the programm you can set things like comfort turn indication (one tip, three flashes), puddle lights, comfort open and close.

It's very easy to use and even more to install.

Take a look here: https://www.v-division.com/

Sounds a bit much, what I can see says 195.-€ (which would be around £177.-)

What MY do you have?

What you need to use this, is only the CFE-Plus (w/o WIFI) for 195.-€. That is the box and a small cable with an USB port on one side, and an OBD2 port on the other. That's all you need, despite from a V70 and a PC/Laptop.

If your MY is from 2001 to 2004 you also need the connection harness, which adds 15.-€, so it shouldn't be more than 210.-€.
