I saw a red torslanda estate going along the A14 yesterday as I was rocking the opposite way in my GLT estate.

Today ( 15th ) we returned from an almost 3 week break in Cornwall with our touring caravan and a trip of about 1,000 miles in total and over the 3 weeks I have seen only 4 240's and they were all in Cornwall early in the holiday.

I saw one near the Geevor old tin mine on the 4th, a red estate. I waved but didn't see a response.

I don't actually remember details of the others we saw even though I thought I would.

None at all during all the motorway miles there and back.

The breeding programme must be gaining some successes then!

We've just returned from a few days away, Portsmouth, Brighton, back to Portsmouth and then home by a convoluted route around the New Forest. Only one 240, a white estate car, just outside Fordingbridge yesterday. Where are they all? There was also a much older similar car in Horndean, but without being familiar with all the different models we couldn't tell exactly what it was.

Sorry for the small pic...spotted on another car spotters website I love these rat look estates owned by eccentrics who really don't care what their cars look like. When I had my red estate which was 'shabby chic' I was stopped by the police twice and had disapproving looks all round!

http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/pictur...pictureid=4124

Also spotted in Brighton two GLT estates in the last two weeks one silver one blue and two SE estates.
Unfortunately a lovely white late plate SE is no longer in the area where I live. I hope it has gone to a good home.

But you didn't see the very smart (well fairly smart and a bit mucky after a couple of hundred miles in rain and spray!) in the Brighton area last week!

Followed this back from Leeds Bradford airport all the way to Tingley roundabout. Probably thought i was stalking you but i was admiring the car - looked 9 out of 10.

If you see a white 240 estate G805 SPP it's my car that my friend Oliver is babysitting for me - he lives in Norwich. Go say hi or give him a wave.
Well spotted, the brown 244 is mine (live in Norwich)..I've still got the original bill of sale from the first owner..it was for sale on Ebay last year (that's where I got it from)
