Default Wheel bearings

I need to change the offside wheel bearing on my 1995 960 face lift modal and wondered if anyone could give me a brief description on how to change them is there any special tools involved and can the DIY mechanic carryout the repair. Do you think I should change both sides at the same time thank you for any advice.

Caution! The front suspension has been changed on this model if it is '95 model year (late 1994 introduction). The suspension is virtually the same as the 850 (without drive shafts) and thus may well be different to the 940 type front. As the rear suspension is also different (IRS with Carbon Fibre Transverse leaf spring) the wheel offsets also match 850 measurements not earlier 960/940/780/760/740 which had 25mm offset It is always imperative to change both sets at the same time so that subsequent wear will be more even. It might be possible that the differences are to be found in the 850 manual. Unfortunately my Green Book library doesn't include all necessary books but if you like I will see what I have in the Technical Bulletins I hold. Let me know if you require further assistance with the suspension.

All the best, Peter.
