Engine cover cutting into engine hose

Hi,

I was poking around the engine bay of my 2007 C70 D5 and noticed that the plastic engine cover was resting very closely to a hose under it near the oil dip stick. Upon inspection i notice it was actually cutting into the hose

! Has anyone had any similar issues, i filed down the engine cover and am going to get the hose replaced (anyone know what that hose is?)
