I've looked at the specs of the new S60 T8 and its increased to 455 bhp but 0-60 times reduced by 0.2 seconds..must be the the additional weight offsetting the additional power. Polestar was always 02s faster than T8, 4.2 vs 4.4, the new one both are 4.6s... very odd

The Polestar version on the previous generation T8 was an extra 15 bhp which was why it was quicker than the standard T8. It looks like with this new version the power output is the same with the Polestar as all other models so no difference in performance.
What is slightly puzzling me is the difference between T6 & T8. The previous generation T6 was 253 bhp + 87 bhp = 340 bhp total output and the T8 was 303 bhp + 87 bhp = 390 bhp.
The new version is: T8 310 bhp + 145 bhp = 455 bhp and the T6 is 253 bhp + 145 bhp = 350 bhp!
Does anyone have any idea why this is the case?

Well it doesn't add up so I would assume it is a mistake. 253 plus 145 is 398, not 350......

I'm guessing T6 will have 205 + 145 bhp...

Maybe - the pricelist currently states 253 + 145 bhp... It doesn't state the total output on the pricelist but the configurator gives the total outputs as 350 & 455 bhp respectively.
Confused...

It may be that the two power systems don't reach peak BHP at the same revs and 350 is the maximum combined at any individual point.

It could be - I remember this being the case with some VW's going back a bit.

Just waiting for accurate prices on this new version now (dealer says the funding companies have yet to update their pricing with the new version yet).
They say I will be looking at a February/March delivery if I end up going with a new vehicle which seems pretty reasonable to me.

The T8s T6s can now be configured via carwow. Judging by my quotes they are only offering 3k off as a deposit contribution that's it.

I think you are spot on, i suspect the changes for MY22 they are making are for emissions/economy not performance, so yes it has more ERAD power output, but i bet its like the peugeot hybrids where you cant shove it all together on full power like you can with the 87bhp ERAD, it will use part power from ERAD probably and preserve battery for lowering emissions later on, like enforcing stop start in AWD and Power modes probably, or switching off the engine earlier when in speed limiter areas.

Isn't the first hint of this, for the MY21 cars that now have the pure mode that you can full throttle in and the engine will not start and just gradually speed up using the ERAD. On the older ones you need to feather the throttle otherwise it kicks the engine in.

Very likely why they haven't reduced the 0-60.

The PHEV's were slated recently for putting out huge emissions when in charge mode.

0-60 has decreased on the XC60 T8 by around half a second. 5.1 (my22
5) v 4.6 (MY22 6a)
