Question V50 passenger airbag

Dear All,
Does anyone know if it possible to turn off the passenger airbag in a 2004 v50. We've just had our second child and the M&P rear facing carseat doesn't fit very well in the back (seat too reclined). I'd like to fit it in the front but my car doesn't have a key operated cut off. I can't believe its not possible to turn off the airbag but just don't know how. Any ideas?
Rob

It's only possible if the optional switch for it was specified.
