I was after some winter tyres a while ago (got some now), and on my search I saw a 'new' set on ebay for little money. I googled the brand (Colway) and realised why they were so cheap, they were not new at all (the seller was in breach of ebay policy by describing them as new), they were remoulds. I found that the company had gone down a couple of time and some people were saying they were great, some saying the tyres were naff and chunks of tread came off etc. I decided not to bother. I'd rather have a normal tyre that doesn't have that risk associated with it.

I can understand why people by them for rallying etc, just for normal road use I would never use them.

When the roads are how they are now, i'd rather use a winter tyre same as anyone else, but I use normal winter tyres, not remould ones.

Horses for courses I guess

of coarse there new tyres, even though they are remoulds

not breaking ebay policy at all

I've run colway snow tyres every year for the last 8 years, no problems with them what so ever, one of the best tyres I've had and superb in the snow and ice

When selling tyres, the description used to state new, used and remould. Its changed now, but when I was looking it did state that. So they used to differentiate, which was my point

I would never buy remoulds years ago I had a vauxhall ventura
and that had remoulds on it and as L
I was going along it seemed as is the wheel had worked loose and I stopped to check and the wheels were tight and could not see anything else loose so continued into work and had a look during my break time and found that the rubber had worked loose and I could put my had right inside the tyre .
So was new for me every time
