XC90 New Order

10 days ago also ordered a new XC90 R-Design Pro B5 D

Side steps
NCO 6 spoke wheels
Gone for Bright Silver this time following a 2018 Osmium Grey XC90 R-Design D5 and before that a grey VW Touareg.
Had a Mk 1 XC90 R-Design from 2009 to 2013.
Really enjoyed them all.
Briefly considered a Touareg and a Q7 but imho the only 1 which looks great from ALL angles is the XC90.
The deciding factor was that Volvo paid for a new PP hose in July (car had no extended warranty cover and was 3.5 yrs old) with a 100% contribution.

I just can’t justify an extra £1k for blonde seats with 3 kids though. No matter how good they look!

One thing I forgot to mention (as the dealer did to me) is the gesture boot opening has been dropped due to the chip shortage. Not a deal breaker by any stretch but thought it worth mentioning here.

I briefly considered a Q7 (Disco too) but 3 of my last 4 cars have been Audi’s and wanted a change. Also, spec for spec they seem considerably more expensive.

I'm in a 21-plate XC90 hire car presently whilst the V90 is having the front bumper repaired after someone kindly reversed in to me in a car park. It's a very light sandy colour that I think is what's known as Light Birch - looks absolutely stunning in my opinion!

Thanks - not too excited by that.

Am currently looking through the new price list (version 6) and diesel momentum gone. But diesel available in R-design (but not R-design pro, or inscription (either pro or non pro)

Not spotted any changes on T8 inscription pro but not finished yet

You’ve even followed my colour switch from Osmium to Bright Silver I see!! - loved Osmium but Bright looks great with the new black trim (which I wasn’t sure I’d like, but I’m converted!)

Did you get your order processed before they canned B5D is RD Pro? Hope so

Hi D76, yes i noticed the other day you had a silver one. After so many grey cars i wanted a change and havent had a silver car for some years and I thought the black would set the silver off well (or vice versa).
Went to a London dealers recently (to check out the non leather s/wheel) and lo and behold he had a (sold) R-Design Pro in the showroom in silver and also the 6 spoke wheels I have ordered and have to say it looked really great (looked larger in silver imho).
All Volvo FS lease docs were signed and dealer said was accepted by the factory with a late Mar 22 del date so guess all is well, although not asked dealer.

Received an email from my dealer today stating he has an amended order form for me and that he can show me the order was placed on Saturday. Just waiting to physically see all of this now.

If all is good I’ll have made the cut by a matter of hours!
