Hi all.
Just wondering if any of you can help with this problem I was coming home and just come off a roundabout onto a duel carriage way I accelerated then all of a sudden loss of power. Now Car will not rev past 3000rpm. Car slowly accelerates, down on power Any ideas Car Is 2002 S80 D5 Manual 96,000 miles Many Thanks Paul |

Limp home mode.
Should be sorted if you switch the engine off and back on again.

I gather you didn't see any codes on the information centre.
Hopefully Volvo will be able to pull the codes off. Going into limp mode could be for numerous reasons only the codes would narrow them down. Unusually not to see any warning lights/ information though, and as it's ok now, personally I'd leave it to see if it occurs again. If you can't take that chance if you depend on your vehicle then you need to get the codes read and take it from there. Vipes

nope I didn't see any codes come up and its been working fine since its going in for a cam belt tomorrow I raise the question with them thanks for the help Paul |
