Default 240 manual choke

Hey there guys as the title suggests I'm after the original manual choke for a Volvo 240. If anyone has one or knows where I can find one please let me know.

Which part of the manual choke are you after?

The mechanism is part of the carburettor, the cable is separate and the dash mounting is another part again (I think). The cables also differ depending on what type of carb you have.

Can you provide more info, specifically engine code and part required?

I've swapped carb type on mine so should have the cable from a sidedraft Stromberg type (B21A) going spare (assuming my mechanic hasn't thrown it away)

Apologies ok yes my car is a 1987 2.3 GLE. I believe the carb is a pierburg. I could ideally do with the cable, handle that you pull and the dash fitting but I might still have that somewhere but not sure. I unfortunately don't know the part number.

there should be a sticker on the front of the cambelt cover saying what engine code it is...

e.g. B230F, B230K etc.

Or a picture paints a thousand words

If that's the case, you have the downdraft carb. I now have one of these and my old cable won't fit, sorry.

Here is a google image of a B230K:

The air flows down through the carb into the intake.

On a B21a (for example) the air flows sideways through the Stromberg carburetor, like this:

I used to have a sidedraft carb, but swapped to a downdraft manifold so I can use a twin choke Weber downdraft carb.
