Default s60 D5 2005 manual

Hi All,

I've just got a good deal on an s60 D5 manual SE with 135k on the clock, 1 owner.

There is full service history and it has all the toys.

Problem:

1. Under mid to hard braking the car drifts to the right and back feels weird.
2. There is vibration through the clutch pedal when standing still ideling. Sort of inline with the engine vibration.

Otherwise looks and drive very well.

Please help with me with the above issues, what can be done.

IceBoy
PS. Oh did notice one of the rear discs had rust on it.

!. I would think bottom control arm bushes . Easier to just replace both arms.

2. Probably an engine mount

Is it the rear left that has rust on it? If so is the rear caliper working freely?

There should be no rust on the swept area once the brakes have been used a couple of times. I did have a rear pad stick in the caliper body once and this took a little effort to remove but still didn't cause the described problem.

Otherwise yes I agree if the front lower bushes go then the car will tramline and will be less than perfectly stable under braking. If all is well then the car will be absolutelly rock solid under all forms of braking.
