Question XC60 Folding dog guard/net - MK I & II compatibility

Hi there,

New to the forum and have done a reasonably thorough search but here’s my question:

Does anyone know if the folding dog guard net from the mark II would fit the mark I XC60 at all?

I’ve done a little research into the part numbers but couldn’t find a concrete answer.

Thanks!
Andy

Maybe ask the dealer? they may have one you could try (but you would need to check prices as be rude to check in person then buy online!)

Sure. I rang the local dealer who didn’t know. They’re “getting back to me”. Posting on the off chance someone here has encountered the same query.

Fairynuff...

looking around https://www.skandix.de/en/spare-part...dd1950a06e9986 has 2 different products listed, one for -2017 and one for 2018-

so initial thoughts are no, they are different.

What year car are you trying to fit the dog guard into.

Into a 2010 XC60. I wondered if the newer dog guard net meshes were backwards compatible. Mine broke at the hinge and it’s easier to get hold of a 2017-now model replacement.

There are 4 or 5 mk1 (2008 - 2017)cargo/dog nets on eBay presently most advertised as “as new”, prices range from £48 to £88.
The mk2 (2017 onwards) variant looks totally different .
