Caliper hard brake line help please
Morning chaps,
(1992 240 2.3 SE) I'm trying to get the specs and measurements to get some hard break lines made up, the two copper ones that come out the back of my drivers side front calipers. I've been researching a lot, but its hard to find straight forward answers. Any help would be really helpful. I found a guy on Ebay that makes up parts of the breaking system to order. length of line diameter of line is it a bubble flare? nut size, both ends Thank you, this is driving me slightly potty. |

It is very common to need to cut the pipes to undo them.
I keep them in stock https://www.classicswede.org/shop/20...ipe-to-caliper |

When I needed new hardlines for a previous project I took the existing ones off then took and left them with a local garage. They replicated them and I popped back the next day to collect - a lot easier than trawling through loads of threads trying to find the nut sizes and exact lengths etc.

Even if you have to cut them, it's still possible to reuse them if you are careful to only cut off the flared end. Then reflare and reuse. This is what I did with mine.

brilliant, thanks for the replies chaps, gonna go with the classic swede ones. In the end I did, i think, find all the measurements and sizes, it was a pain in the arse. The line is 3/16th, with a bubble flare, and the fittings are m10x1. Not sure if these are right as their from all over the place.
thanks again chaps |
