Thanks for all the advice. Do the AW tyres seem to have a stiffer ride? My last car on Crosclimates had such a soft ride, the tyre wasn't noticeable, but wondering if a stiffer tyre or thicker tread will be noticeable before i consider spending £400 on all-season ones?

I've noticed little difference in ride between CrossClimates and the Yokohama all seasons to be honest. Ride just as comfortable and I haven't really noticed much of a change in handling. All I would say is that wet and winter performance is better on the Yokohamas than the Michelins. Think the only advantage the Michelins have over the Yokohamas is IIRC they are rated as lower fuel consumption on the energy rating stickers.
