Question Diagnostic Tools - Ignition/Fuel/Starting Fault Finding

I have an intermittent fault with my 3.2 petrol non-turbo 2009 XC70

Every now and again it will crank for a long time before it will start.

I have replaced sparkplugs, coils, fuel injectors, fuel pressure sensor and cleaned a load of sensor connectors.

I'm wondering what to look at next.. and wondering whether it's worth buying something like the below:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/17297258208...cAAOSwUIxbyYzJ

Would the car record any instances of long cranking and offer some hints as to what may be wrong?

The car sometimes hesitates at lower revs under power (going up a steephill) as well.

I can't account for the ability of the iCarsoft unit although I emailed their customer service 're a Smart car application and never received a reply.

I use Vida and others on here will no doubt advocate the same. It's the Volvo oe diagnostic system

're your fault. Is that a hot or cold start?

Interesting that the eBay listing says Vida Dice in the title when it isn't.
They've included that misleading title because Dice and Vida s the one that people actually want and need.
If you have a suitable laptop and want the best chance of resolving your issue get Dice and Vida.
Parts catalogues, workshop manual, technical data for components, fault code reading for all modules.....

Evening , I would look at cam and \ or crank sensors . You sometimes remove them and find the end of the sensor covered in rubbish , remove ****e GENTLY with paper towel or soft cloth , replace and see how everything goes from that point onwards . If you know a friendly mech , ask them nicely to read live data from those sensors to ensure they are producing the correct waveforms that the ECU can understand & work with .

Hope that helps
