Default V50 clutch pedal pulsing and grinding.

Hi all. So I went to take a 07 V50 2.0 D for a test drive this morning as I’m looking to purchase it. When you press the clutch pedal in you get a pulsing feeling through the pedal and you can hear a grinding noise along with that pulsing. All gear changes are smooth and the car pulls great in all gears.
Does anyone have any idea what this problem might be please.
The seller is happy to reduce the price to cover the cost of fixing the problem but I would like to get some thoughts on what it could be before I discuss this with him.
Cheers for your help

Default Dual mass flywheel

To me the problem your are describing is a problem with the flywheel. Can prove costly. Worth while changing clutch at the same time due to the invasive nature of the replacement of the flywheel. Plus a new release bearing. You would need £1200 off the price for a garage to fit all this for you.

Hope this helps

Cheers
