Default Coolant spec?

Hi all. I'm planning on carrying out a, probably long overdue, coolant flush/change.
There are loads of threads and mentions on here but I can't find one that mentions the actual spec. Is it OAT, IAT, something else with a T etc??
The handbook very helpfully tells me to contact the dealer. I'm probably just going to get some off that ebay guy that provided me with all my belt stuff but I'd still like to know the spec/type ta.

After thoroughly flushing, just use 4 litres Genuine Volvo concentrated coolant example here and top up with distilled or deionised water.
It's ethylene glycol based and lasts for years.

33 years so far in my 343 :-) still clean, clear and bright green as it was back in 1988 . There is no better quality and Longer lasting Coolant on the market .. Great value .

As above don't let anyone sell you the ready mixed , no dealer in UK should be selling that anyway ... just someone ripping you off .

Well they're naughty little liars.
Every dealer can sell the concentrate and you can even buy it on Amazon.

Thanks Clan, thought so ... must admit I was perturbed that I could only buy pre-mixed ... lots of money for someone else to put water in my coolant , I only needed a little to top-up so purchased it, but it didn't ring true.

OAT, glycol, mdoesn't really matter in the D5 so long as the old stuff is very thorpughly flushed out.

The Volvo coolant is supposed to be a lifetime fill, but theres no such thing really as the anto corrosion properties fail long before the AF properties do.

I just bought some concentrate off the ebay guy. Broke my golden rule about buying 'official' consumables but the price was OK.

Have you evidence to prove that ? its not true, it lasts and lasts in both corrosion and protection down to -37C . I have been testing it since the 1970's If you have a head gasket leaking all the time perhaps it will deteriorate , no one knows ,

I would report them to trading stands rather then volvo ...misleading business practices .. they are out to make money only ...

Just ask them to order 4 x 31439720

This seems an excellent deal at present :
