Default Does Anyone know how to get a cheap new Eolys Tank?

Hello

I have just been quoted £480 for a new eolys tank for my 1.6d C30. Does anyone know how to get a cheaper one as it is a bit extreme to pay near £500 for something the size of a milk bottle.

Thanking you

Ian

Default Apologies, no idea on an answer, but be warned

Sorry, but don't know where to get a cheap tank..but if you do get a genuine Volvo spare fitted be sure to check up on it frequently for leaks. Our tank leak was spotted just out of warranty - a matter of mere weeks - it was noticed when the car went in for an annual service / MOT. Volvo are refusing to cover the cost of the replacement tank plus extras, ignoring the fact that the leak started during the warranty period. They are seeming to imply that we should have jacked the car up on a regular basis to keep an eye on the tank that they fitted!

The fact that we have - like most people - no facilities at home to jack the car up is irrelevant to them.

They say we should pay 20% of the replacement tank cost, buy a new bottle of fluid, cover the labour cost of fitting the new tank, programming the new tank to the car.

The faulty one they supplied lasted only 3675 miles!
