Default Parking Brake Won't Hold

Had the message "Parking Brake Won't Hold" pop up a couple of times recently when parking on hills. Hills are steep but not massively so. Car is only 6 months old, auto AWD.

I might add it does seem to hold ok .

Anyone else had a similar problem?

Thanks

John

Afternoon , at 6 months old , I would ring the dealer . Ask if any software updates are available / required . I would also ask that they link up Vida/dice to check for any error codes & manually operate the EPB motors while it is plugged in via the software . I have used my Snap-on device to work the motors on & off on several Vauxhall's , a couple of of BMw's & countless bloody french cars .
The worst culprits were those that spent most time parked up in salty damp environments ( Oh , I do like to be beside the seaside ........ honest ! ) it is possible a sensor "thinks " it detects movement & triggers the message so again , get any codes read

Took car to dealer.
Turns out both rear brake calipers were leaking !
They were replaced under warranty. Car is 6 months old and done 3000miles!!
Slightly worrying!!
Thanks for the response
John

Message has reappeared, obviously wasn't the calipers!

Dealer is nonplussed and has emailed Volvo.

Anyone else had this?

Thanks
