Default Alternator 164 or 245? With aircon pulley

If you know which, add to the thread. It's definitely Bosch and Volvo. I kinda think it was the 164 because they stopped bothering with machining and coating the laminate plates on later alternators. Either way, if you're not a purist then dump that mechanical regulator and fit an alternator with built in transistor regulator and a bolted on main cable direct to the battery. Note: it has the twin front pulley. I think one will line up, or they can be swapped with single + spacer off your old alternator.
