Great idea. A UK Volvodrive Treffen style event would be great. A couple of thousand Volvos of all types (even the C30's ) in one place would be awesome!!

Like all car shows though, one hell of a job to organise. Hats off to Millsy and co. for their work on the V600 events. A great day out even without the GWR attempt.

Thumbs up Great but long day

Guys and lasses,
Yes it was great to do the world record for a good cause, I don’t think people realise you have to do stuff twice.
I’ve heard some left before the second go around, as it was a long day for all glad I stayed in YORK myself handy being an old local.
I hope we made it with flying colours wait for the official announcement.

It was a long day albeit a fantastic day overall. Some did leave after the first lap as they had other engagements, it did get quite late. I hung on and did the two.

Hopefully we get it but we will see. I saw quite a few gaps and start stops on the run. Nevermind, if I need to come back for a 3rd attempt at some point, I'll be there.

We too had a second go round,we were there for the day and the attempt so why not.If there is indeed a need for a third attempt then I'll certainly be applying for an entry for it.

Good news about the record - it won't need to be done again.

(A serious) Suggestion for some of the £37K raised:

Hi all,
Yes I was there and we went around twice as you do for records. But why has it come back as 800 and not nearly 1300 for how many attended. We’re there loads not keeping up to the 2 meter separation and why is only 800?

Congratulations and thanks to the organisers for putting on the two attempts.I attended both tries great days out whatever but to take the record and raise such an impressive sum is testament not only to them but also the Volvo community as a whole.I understand Torquevolvo have organised a meeting back at Elvington on 28th of this month[November] which I shall also be attending.
