Yes , Italian, on all volvos after 2010 no cases of seized ones yet the grip is right on the edge so more effective .
master kits available for the dealers only .

So it's irregular shaped around the outside of the bolt head then?and I take it the lock nut key fits over like a socket ..Rather than the mcguard which was rounded on the exterior of the bolt head and had the part to grip in the middle.

No its better than that , and there is no room to hit a socket around the edge .
The centre dummy bolt head revolves.
Volvo themselves developed this with an Italian Manufacturer .
The parts are galvanised . And the dealer has access to a master set to get them off If a key is lost . Keys are not available .

Ahh ok I see.Thanks for the explanation and picture.
So they are tightened and loosened via the collar rather than the head of the bolt.
