If you checked all the connections on the top of the CEM and found no water ingress, then I would suspect you have damp/water in the DEM.
The DTC ABS-0094 coms with ECU is the same I saw when my DEM failed on my XC70. Eventually it will fail altogether , volvodiagnostic.com can repair the DEM or provide rebuilt replacements, that's were I got mine from. A failed DEM will cause a lots of other DTCs like you are seeing. |

I disconnected the DEM thinking this would make a difference......but no, abs and traction fault came back. So back to the drawing board.
My gut instinct is the CEM is faulty, all the modules feed into the CEM, and after reading lots of posts on here it appears the CEM is prone to dry joints. Just ideas as the car has been off the road for 4 weeks. |

If you have a ABS-0094 then it will be the DEM that's failed, most probably due to water ingress , its a known problem. If it was corrosion on the CEM then you would have lots more DTC's for other systems, when my CEM got wet I had just about every warning light on the dash and even after drying it out I still had lots of DTC's until it took it out and cleaned the circuit boards. speak to volvodiagnostic see his thread here .. https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=143579 if you give him all your DTC's he will confirm the diagnosis Last edited by XC70Bob; Sep 12th, 2021 at 11:35. |

Fault has been diagnosed with CEM suspected over heating, been sent away to be repaired to Volvo diagnostic in Tilbury. Very helpful guys down there and good service so far.

Update
Finally got to the bottom of the volvo S60R brake failure and all the other cars modules shutting down, Volvo Diagnostics in London helped to identify the BCM had failed.
Replacement BCM installed and car running as new. Big thanks to Volvo Diagnostics in London. |
