940 alternator belt issues

I think she would Bob! Post further up that i forgot to quote is that 925 is too long and 888 is too short. I know one of my 740s had a similar problem, ended up fitting one about 900 (898 rings a bell) and got round it that way. If memory serves that was my middle one, F212UFL or "Fluf" for short.

Thanks, I have this one on the fan/PS but it's too long for the alternator. 925 is on the limits length wise. This car is an anomaly....I suspect it's a fusion of other Volvo's when the factory was bored. Handbrake cables has been a similar problem.

My car has B200F engine. The following is marked on the belts:
Alternator belt is part no. VO973982. 11.9 x 925.
Water Pump/PAS belt is VO973487. 11.9 x 1013.
