Default S40 fuel filler cap button, both fog light buttons dont work

Hello dear community!

I just ran into the first actual issue with my 2011 S40 (owned for 2 years). What happened is that the three buttons that control the fuel filler door, front and rear fog light stopped working for no apparent reason.
I used the front fog light yesterday with no issue. However when I tired to turn it on today, nothing happened. I tried to press the other two buttons, but nothing happens. There is no sound and no lights (not even the indicator led) turn on when I press any of them.
Also, the main light switch seems strange; I can not turn the main lights off (high beam works fine). The little green led is on.

However the headlight height adjuster and dashboard dimmer works just fine.

Anyone else had this issue?

Based on what you've said, I think your foglight switch is stuck. The module scans the switches and I think one of them is permanently on. This will prevent the other switches being detected.

When you press each switch can you feel a positive movement and a switch clicking?

No, actually if I press any of them, they all feel "dead". The usual feedback of pressing them is missing.
I will check if it is stuck.

I managed to find and resolve the issue.

The problem was with the switch assembly. The plastic casing broke, making it impossible to press the buttons.

I had a second light switch assembly on hand, because I installed the fog lights (I bought the one which broke from E-bay). I planned to replace the insides of the original assembly with the E-bay one, however to my surprise every part, except for that tiny plastic switch and where it attaches were identical.
So what I did was to remove the tiny plastic switch and move it to the original assembly. This was easy, all I had to do is pry off the button, remove the big transparent plastic from the inside and slide out the button mechanism.

Problem solved.
