Key stuck in ignition + Gear doesn't realize its in Park

Hi

I just got an 07 S80 V8 but the key is stuck in the ignition barrel. When I try to pull it out it says Gearshift must be in Park. I realize that the car doesn't recognize that the gearbox is in park and I think this is the root of this issue.

What are the parts I should replace?

Wrong forum mate. Try the forum for later S80s

Does the gearstick button itself engage/disengage properly? Also you could try quickly pulling the gearstick up and down through the gears as I’ve heard the selector contacts can get crudded up and this may clean them off.

Sorry for that didnt' realize.

I have no problems with the gear, I just realize that the car will sometimes show the message that the gear is not in Park.
