The mileage at that point was 250k and had 2 cam dots fitted in that time. It must be said it went from a very minor weep, as in it was as slight damp around the pump to running out in just 12 miles. I will say I fitted a Gates pump that I got very cheap as I just need the car to last a few more months at which point it was scrapped anyway.
If our car gets to 250k I will run through the street naked.. would take my wife about 26 years with the distances she covers tho..

Vida needs DICE or a DICE alternative, such as the CFE-Wifi

That proves the quality of genuine pumps (to last 250k). Its not a case of genuine pumps never failing, but they rarely do. No parts last forever, not even in a Rolls Royce. There’s more chance of an aftermarket one failing in comparison to a genuine one though.

Changed all the belts tensioners idlers etc and water pump yesterday, was relatively easy apart from the confined space part of it, although I’m only the assistant... Also did a couple drain and fills on the gearbox with the intention of doing it again in a few weeks once it’s been driven a bit. And changed cracked tail light and wing mirror indicators which had obviously been clipped at some point
