Default Random Question

Hi All,

Apologies in advance for the random/silly question. I currently own a 2007 Volvo S80 D5 and my friend has a 2008 Volvo s60 D5. I've noticed that as the s60 revs that it has that nice 5 cylinder rumble.

I believe my S80 is also a 5 cylinder but it does not have that rumble? Is the set up different in the s80 to the s60?

Again I understand this is a silly question - go easy on me.

Cheers

The engine installations will be different since your S80 is an early P3 car whereas the S60 is a late P2 car. I have found P3 cars to be a little more civilised in terms of the suppression of noise and vibration.
