Default Xc40 bad factory paint job

Hi there, my car is 15 months old and at the boot of the car the paint is peeling off at both sides. Is this covered under warranty or will the garage say its wear and tear. Not sure what has caused this. Any ideas?

To me that looks like physical damage.. I doubt that would be covered..

That's scuff damage due to something rubbing past it somewhere . a local mobile paint repair man could do that at reasonable cost .

Come on now that’s clearly been scuffed on something! Good luck trying to blame that on poor paint finish.
