Default Unidentified engine noise.

Hi,

I recently bought a very nice looking v50 with just over 70000 on the clock but had a rumble from the engine. The guy reassured me it was the fault of an injector so I took the gamble and bought it expecting to spend a bit extra getting it fixed.

Not long after I took it to the main dealer for a new car inspection and the engine noise was diognosed as coming from the flywheel.

I just had the flywheel and clutch changed as the main dealer said this was the source of the knocking/noise. It's still there though after repair and my local garage who did the new flywheel and clutch, and a gearbox specialist can't identify or diagnose. Oil pressure is fine. It does have a small leak from one of the injectors but my mechanic and several others think it's a bottom engine noise now, which I'm guessing means a replacement engine. Not nice and probably not worth the expense. I don't mind spending a bit more on it but until I actually know what's wrong I'm unsure how to proceed.

I have a video on YouTube here;
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=K5WlBGkB8w8

You'll need to turn volume up at 1:23 for full sound.

Then on top on that noise that's always there, an extra more flappy sort of knocking joins in at low revs when the car is moving. At around 10000 rpm.
(Not captured in the video unfortunately)

Things quieten down a bit once in 4th gear.

Any advice in identifying noise or recommending where to go with this problem would be much appreciated!

thanks

Matt
