Question V50 front wheel stud

Hi All, first off thank you for letting me join the forum. I found these forums invaluable and essential to maintaining the cars I've had in the past. I have a 2007 V50 and I think it's a great car. It's been well looked after before me first by a lease company and then by an elderly gentleman who spared no expense. Here is my problem, I know it's been discussed in the past on previous threads but I can't seem to get the definitive answer. One of my front wheel studs has snapped I do not wish to change the whole Hub yet so I was hoping that I can knock out the stud and simply replace it. The knuckle on the hub seems to stop the stud releasing so if anyone has done it how did you do it ?. I have managed to acquire a new stud off eBay so that's not the problem, it's getting it on there. My local Volvo indie can change the whole hub for about £120 but I don't wish to go down that route just yet. Thanks all.

Hi, I have same issue but on the back. The car had been sat for two years and decided to change disks/pads to sell. When taking wheel off first side two snapped. Lots of penetrating oil on second side and it was fine.
I need to get two studs now but ant find the right one for a 2011 C30. I measure the splines at 12.9mm where everything I find is 13.1.
Please could you post where you got yours from?
