Default Which Volvo?

I am thinking of getting a Volvo in the near future to tow my caravan, what I`d really like to know is which one`s are the best for towing? I`ve heard the V70 is good but I could really do with any advice available. I wont be buying new(funds not at hand) I hope to be spending around £3500. Hope you can help.

the model not as important, self prefer manual gears not automatic for easier for winter towing less wheels spinning.most say deisel better, yes true for towing but running cost high.
not like the new s40,really ford focus, engine gearbox not strong

I take it you haven't tried the auto box with the "Winter" button/setting turned on.
Or perhaps, you think that maybe, just maybe, I CAN beat that scoobie with a caravan in tow!!!

What can one say?

Provided the power and weight ratios are sufficient for the chosen caravan, they are all good tuggers.

Now as a loyal fan, do I get a sweetie now??
