A friend of mine has some 1L @ 6000 miles oil consumption in a 163 hp 5 cylinder diesel, but I thought this is only a problem with VEA engines. My question is - are VEA engines the only ones that burn oil? What do you know about the D4/D5 engines fitted in 2012-2016 cars (180 & 215hp), is oil consumption a common problem? Looking for a XC70 AWD with these engines and I'm a bit worried about this problem, and what could cause it (piston rings, etc). Thanks. __________________ Going places
