Default Chrome-effect wheelarch trims

Noticed today that the thin wheelarch trims on my friends 164 I'm minding, are not in fact metal. They are curved lengths of sticky-backed plastic chrome-effect, like the early Mini's were, I presume.
At least these save on re-drilling all those holes if you are fitting new rear arch panels (as I am to my car).
Question - has anybody else seen these, where can I buy such edging and what is it called when I ask at Halfords (or wherever)?
Certainly looks fine to me, save its not the exact same profile (ie not ridged but radiused): the width is the same. Only noticeable when you get really close.
Any ideas?

I bought a couple of packs in Lidl here in sweden, that was made by 3M,and i know they do several different widths of them.
Should be availble from car-accesories stores or do a search on eBay!

i found this on eBay:

Forget it. They don't stay on! Especially on a concave bend. Better to use "edge trim" available in different sizes and colours. I have edge trim clipped onto the inside edge of my wheel arches filled with "waxoil" to prevent stone chips and corosion.
