My previous V70 had headlight wipers and coped fine with the sticky on reflectors on.

My current V70 has the stupid plastic lenses and i've been told the stickers are hard to remove once on and leave marks, so when i went to france last year, i got a set of headlight protecters and just stuck the reflectors on there, and when back in the UK just took the protectors off. Also means when i'm back in france i just reuse the protectors with the reflectors on.

Default Headlight deflectors and wipers

Thanks for all the info guys. I think I might invest in the headlight protectors and stick the deflectors on them. Cheers everyone!

In my 2008 s80 my DRL's ARE the headlights. In newer cars there could be a LED strip as DRL but not in mine.

It's all depending on manufacturer and design of car. Volvo for several years used headlights as DRL

My V40 coped fine with two trips abroad using stick on reflectors. My dad whe he goes abroad just dips his lights and does't bother with the reflectors, ad thats with HID's.

I think if your in France for a while then be 100% legal and use the reflectors, other countries probably won't bother pulling you over to check.
